Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, wed Olori Mariam Anako on Tuesday night. The newlywed, a native of Kogi State, works for Nestoil Limited as an administrative manager in upper management. On Tuesday, the new Olori was introduced upon arriving at the palace of the king in Ile Ife, Osun State. The change occurs nine months after his ex-wife, Silekunola Naomi, announced the dissolution of their three-year union.
In December 2021, she revealed in a statement posted to her official Instagram page. Moses Olafare, the spokesperson for Ooni, provided information about the new wedding rituals in a Facebook Live Stream on his official accounts. The event began at approximately 10:30 p.m. and was private on Tuesday and attended by chiefs and trusted aides.
After a few formalities at the building’s entrance, the new bride was led into the palace. She was then escorted to the palace’s inner court, where her husband and other guests were waiting to greet her.
Since ascending to the throne in October 2015, the 47-year-old queen has wed three times in the public eye.
