It is no longer the name of the team, that determines who plays good football. Achraf Hakimi, a Moroccan team defender has stated that the Moroccan national team, can defeat 2010 world cup winners, Spain in round 16, to qualify for the quarter-finals in the 2022 World Cup Game.
Speaking ahead of Morocco’s clash against Spain on Tuesday, Hakimi said that they deserve to be respected considering that they finished top in their group, and he thinks that Spain is aware of this.
He further stated, that of course, Spain has to be scared of them, seeing that they defeated Belgium to emerge top in their group.
He also added that they don’t care who they play against, as their coach has imbibed the winning mentality into them.
.”We were first in the group, and I think we already deserve a little respect. I think Spain knows it, and they’ve to be a little afraid of us.
“They have to be afraid of us, the truth. And why not give the surprise again?”
He continued: “The coach has transmitted a winning mentality to us, and it doesn’t matter who comes, we’ve to play our game, in we are in lines”.
All European teams are beginning to see football past the nationality of the players, as it is not the name of the country that defines who plays good football.
