Nigerian singer Skales has offered a word of encouragement to emerging musicians, stressing the importance of consistency on the journey to success.

In a recent post shared on X (formerly Twitter), the artist reminded aspiring talents that perseverance often makes the difference between giving up and achieving greatness. He noted that many give up just before their breakthroughs.

“Most Artists Quit Before the Blessings Show Up” — Skales

“Your music can take you around the world,” he wrote. “You just have to be consistent enough to witness it. Most artists quit right before the blessings arrive. Keep pushing.”

Skales’ message is timely, especially as his 2014 hit “Shake Body” has found new life on TikTok, where it recently became a viral trend after Barcelona football star Lamine Yamal featured it in his posts.

The song’s unexpected resurgence underscores Skales’ point, proving that dedication and patience can eventually pay off in big ways.
