It has been a rollercoaster these past few months and I wouldn’t say I am disappointed. From the moment I saw Kim Soo Hyun (Baek Hyun Woo) as the main lead, my expectations were high. He had never disappointed in his previous movies: It’s okay not to be okay, Love from another star and Dream High (if you haven’t watched this, you need to check it out) and he didn’t disappoint here.
The title reflected in the movie as the series was a rollercoaster of emotion bringing the viewers close to tears with the plot twists.
The movie centered on the two main characters’ broken marriage. Although the couple had married out of love, they had fallen out of love due to busy schedules and trivial misunderstanding. It speaks on the importance of communication in marriage.
Queen of Tears focused on marriage, friendship, loyalty, and betrayal. If you are looking for something serious with a bit of comedy, this is the series for you.
Let me dive a bit into the characters: like I had mentioned at the beginning the main Male character wasn’t disappointed and the Female main character (Kim Ji Won) killed the role she was acting. The supporting characters weren’t that very different.
The flaw in the series was towards the ending. A lot was happening all at the same time towards the ending making it seem like it was rushed.
It was a happy ending movie with the characters overcoming their challenges and saving their marriage.
