The Nigerian Grammy-nominated Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti, has made a revelation saying that he had sent money for the renovation of Naira Marley’s prison cell in Panti soon after he gets released.
Recall that Kuti had gotten himself detained in Panti earlier this year after he was captured slapping a police officer in a video that went viral.
In a recent Instagram live session with fans, Mr Kuti had claimed that he sent money to redevelop the cell, showers and tiles after gaining back his freedom.
To this effect Seun Kuti added that rapper, Naira Marley who is being remanded over the death of his former signee, Mohbad, would benefit immensely from his charity for the period of detention.
“If you think I’m lying, go to Panti and verify. I renovated the cell I stayed in because I can go back there tomorrow.” Kuru had boasted.
“At least, Naira Marley gets to enjoy my charity there.”
