The Nasarawa State Labour Party has started a door-to-door campaign for its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his vice presidential candidate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, throughout the state’s 13 Local Government Areas.
Alexander Emmanuel, State Chairman of the LP, stated in a Monday interview with newsmen in Lafia that the party decided to launch the campaign because it hopes to secure at least two million votes for Obi and Datti in the 2023 presidential election.
He praised party members on both the national and state levels for the smooth running of the presidential campaign inauguration that took place last Saturday in Lafia, the state capital.
He also thanked the party’s followers for traveling from all over Nigeria to show their love and support for the group, promising them that, should the LP win the upcoming elections, it will do so by working for the welfare of the nation.
