The Agency confirmed that preliminary steps had been taken against United Nigeria Airlines until the conclusion of the current investigation.
Reports had it that passengers had expressed worry when a United Airlines airplane landed in Asaba International Airport on Sunday, November 27, rather than the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, –NAIA.
As a result of this incident, the wet lease aircraft under United Nigeria Airlines was allegedly suspended.
Meanwhile, Mr Achilleus-Chud Uchegbu, the Head of Corporate Communications of United Nigeria Airlines, had alleged that the bypass had been due to poor destination weather.
However, the cabin crew made an incorrect announcement upon landing in Asaba, causing confusion among the passengers.
