Nedu Wazobia, a well-known media personality, has issued a pre-action notice to social media critic VeryDarkMan over alleged defamatory statements posted on his social media pages.

VeryDarkMan revealed this in a post on his Instagram page on Tuesday.

Nedu Demands N500m From VeryDarkMan Over Defamatory Video

The legal team representing Nedu and Tokindrumz Picture and Media Ltd claimed that a 12-minute video posted by VeryDarkMan on his YouTube and Instagram on Wednesday, 19 February 2025, included “a host of defamatory, false, and disparaging attacks and rhetoric” against their clients.

They described the video, titled “How Nedu Diverted NGO Scholarship Meant for Nigerians”, as false.

They also clarified that Nedu is not the owner of Tokindrumz but rather a talent affiliated with the brand.

However, they demanded that VeryDarkMan “retract every video involving Nedu on all of his platforms within 24 hours of receiving the notice, issue a public apology, and pay the sum of N500m for the damage caused to Nedu’s reputation.”

They warned that failure to comply would result in legal proceedings.

In a video shared on his Instagram page, VeryDarkMan acknowledged the notice and informed his followers to brace for the court case.

Captioning the post, he wrote, “Nedu lawyers have served me oo so make una get ready for court case meanwhile the lawyer should listen to the new voicenote in this video,l am sure he doesn’t know this part about who he wants to go and defend in court…NEDU THE DON”
