Nigerian Army Commences Special Operation in Abia State.

The Nigerian Army has begun its Field Training Exercise nicknamed Exercise GOLDEN DAWN Il in Abia State.

A statement released by the Assistant Director, of Army Public Relations, 14 Brigade Ohafia, stated that the exercise began on October 2, and would end on December 23, 2022.

According to the press release, the exercise was centered on training the troops on the security of innocent and law-abiding citizens in the state, most especially during the Yuletide season.

The release additionally announced that the exercise would be done in collaboration with other security agencies.

“It is designed to promote a conducive environment for business and other socio-economic activities for the good people of Abia State during the upcoming festive season.”

“It would also feature several Civil-Military Cooperation -CIMIC activities to showcase the friendliness of the Nigerian Army to their host communities across Abia State. Some of the goodwill include medical outreaches and educational support programs to schools.”

The Nigerian Army has already solicited the support and cooperation of the people to its troops.
