Nigerian Government Evacuates Additional 254 Stranded Nigerians in Sudan

The Federal Government of Nigeria had late Tuesday and early Wednesday morning, May 9 and 10, brought back to the country, an additional 254 more Nigerians fleeing the insurrection in Sudan.

According to the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NDC, these recent evacuees had landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

This recent batch of returnees makes it a total of 1,984 Nigerians that have arrived in the country from Egypt and Port Sudan since the airlift started.
