Music producer Adegboyega Ogunlesi, popularly known as Adey, has narrated a terrifying tale of how he was allegedly attacked by the Nigerian police in Lagos. According to the producer, he barely escaped his life as officers fired shots at him for allegedly trying to harm them on the highway.
Adey said the unruly encounter could have written off his car when the police took control of his steering wheel and almost veered him into the ditch. “Nigerian police shot at me today, claimed I tried to kill them,” Adey posted on X, detailing the harrowing experience.
The incident has since caused outrage online, with many questioning the conduct of law enforcement. The popular producer, celebrated for his work with Afrobeats heavyweights, has called attention to the dangers of unchecked police brutality in Nigeria.
