Nigerian singer Spyro came out in the public to reveal that he has taken a vow of celibacy. In an Instagram post, the 33-year-old musician described his personal battle with premarital sex in which he enjoyed the physical pleasure but did not feel right after it.
Spyro revealed that after much reflection and prayer, he decided to cut ties with anything that led him down that path. “Sex felt good till I could no longer bear struggling with my conscience,” he confessed. He added that every time he engaged in premarital sex, he felt as if a part of him was taken away.
Spyro added that it was not a smooth process for him especially when he had to travel and is faced with the worldly temptations. But, with prayer and the resolve not to disappoint himself, he decided to wait for marriage in order to engage in sexual activities. “I am keeping this bed for ONE now,” he stated.
