The Nigeria Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress have recently disrupted Air Peace’s operations, which has disappointed the company’s management.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the airline stated that the unions’ actions were unjustified and had caused great difficulty to its passengers.
Union representatives stormed Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos and seized over the airline counter.
Passengers were spotted stranded as a result of the event, which further hampered aircraft operations.
The strike was in response to accused state government agents violently disrupting Workers’ Day celebrations in Imo State.
The unions had written to the airline requesting that no flights be conducted into Owerri today due to allegations that Governor Hope Uzodimma had disrupted their May Day events a few days ago.
The airlines, on the other hand, declared that they had no association with the Imo State Government or Governor Uzodimma.
