The New Nigeria Peoples Party has warned the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP
candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and his All Progressives Congress counterpart, Bola Tinubu, to withdraw from the scheduled February 25 presidential election.
This warning, according to the party had become imperative after the allegations of drug peddling and corruption leveled against both candidates individually.
In a statement signed by NNPP’s National Publicity Secretary, Dr. Agbo Major, Atiku
and Tinubu’s withdrawal from the presidential race would give them ample time to
answer to charges preferred against them in court.
His statement had read partly:
“Nigerians are tired of recycled politicians who have several cases of corruption, drugs, birth/educational certificates, health, and questionable source of wealth, to name a few.
Citizens want men and women of integrity, visionary, purposeful, resourceful, dynamic, and transformational leaders to usher them to a new and greater Nigeria we all desire and deserve.
“Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is the man of the people moment and he will give
Nigerians a new lease of life after years of wandering in the political wilderness from the oppressive APC and PDP regimes.”
