The France national team will be without some important players in the world cup game, and Karim Benzema is part of those important players who will not be featuring for France in the World Cup in Qatar.
Didier Deschamps France’s coach has revealed that there’s no Replacement For Benzema. Benzema sustained a thigh injury in his first training session, in Qatar on Saturday. The injury seemed serious as Benzema announced on his Instagram page that he is withdrawing from the World Cup.
When asked if he would get another player to replace Benzema he replied no
The reporter said to the France manager: “Karim Benzema will be replaced?’, to which Deschamps said: ‘No’.
The France national team has made a statement concerning Benzema’s situation,
.“Karim Benzema is forced to give up participating in the World Cup. The whole team shares Karim’s sadness and wishes him a speedy recovery.’
Deschamps sympathised with Benzema whose major goal was to win the world cup, he further said that he’s confident that his team will do well.
Deschamps added: “I am extremely sad for Karim Benzema who made this World Cup a major goal.
“Despite this new blow for the French team, I have full confidence in my group. We will do everything to meet the huge challenge that awaits us.”
This is a huge blow for the France national team, as they will be doing the world cup without N’golo Kante, Paul Pogba, Christopher Nkunku, and now Karim Benzema
