Nigerian actor and producer Timini Egbuson has expressed his frustration over what he sees as a lack of support from musicians for the Nigerian film industry.

He noted that while Nollywood consistently uplifts the music industry, the support is rarely mutual.

Nollywood Supports Music, But Gets Little In Return – Timini Egbuson

Taking to his X handle on Sunday, he wrote, “[I] really wish musicians supported Nollywood the way we support their music but that’s a conversation for another day.”

Nigeria’s film and music industries have a strong bond.

Over time, several musicians have appeared in Nollywood films, while some actors have explored music, occasionally partnering with musicians.

Some actresses have also been featured as vixens in music videos.
