Notorious Armed Robbery Syndicate Busted in Katsina by Police Officials.

The State Police Command in Katsina has succeeded in busting a notorious syndicate of armed robbers whose specialties were breaking people’s homes using criminal charms. 

The spokesperson of the command, SP Gambo Isah, who revealed this in a statement on Tuesday, September 20, observed that the robbers have been terrorizing Daura Local Government Area and its environs.

“On 12th September 2022 at about 4:00 pm, acting on a tip-off, the Command was successful in arresting and busting a notorious syndicate of armed robbers terrorizing Daura LGA and its environs,” the statement read.

“The following suspects were arrested: Abdullahi Sa’idu, ‘M’, aged 50yrs of Hadejia, Jigawa state, Umar Abubakar Faruk, ‘M’, aged 23yrs of Badawa Quarters, Kano state, and Zakariyya Hussaini, ‘M’, aged 25yrs, of Yar Leman, Hadejia, Jigawa state”

“In the course of the investigation, suspects have confessed to using criminal charms that will force the households to fall asleep until they finish stealing and pilfering. They also confessed to have gotten the charms from an unnamed ritualist in the Niger Republic.”

“The following exhibits were recovered; Fabricated keys, Housebreaking implements, one machete, Five (5) different handsets, One Iron Pinches, and Criminal Charms. Suspects have confessed to committing the offense.” Isah concluded.
