Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo has strongly warned convicted actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, also known as Baba Ijesha, to stop bringing her children into his public statements, cautioning that she may take legal action if it continues.

In a message shared via her Instagram page, the actress stated that while she has no issue with him sharing his version of events, involving her children in the narrative is unacceptable.

“I honestly have no problem with you telling your side of the story. But take this as a notice to CEASE AND DESIST from using my children as your cheap bait. It won’t fly,” she wrote.

Iyabo Ojo went on to dismiss claims that her children were ever left unattended, explaining that they were always under proper supervision, either with caregivers or her late mother. She also pointed out that her business space in Ilu-Peju, Lagos, had multiple staff members, making such claims unrealistic.

“You were a senior colleague, no more to it. However, that 14-year-old girl was a minor, and sexual assault is never okay. It is a crime. You should show some remorse. The court found you guilty based on evidence, so please don’t drag my kids into this,” she added.

Her reaction follows comments made by Baba Ijesha during recent interviews, where he recalled moments from the past involving her children and expressed disappointment over their current relationship.

“When they told me about Iyabo Ojo, I told the person that she is my product. I cannot wish her bad. I do not want women to have problems. But what Iyabo turned into today, I do not understand,” he said.

He also described an incident at her former shop, claiming she left the children in his care while she attended to other matters.

“I told my apprentice to watch over them while I checked their mum. When I got to the place, I met a crowd, so I knew it was not a place you could just get what you wanted and go home immediately,” he said.

Reiterating her stance, Iyabo Ojo made it clear she is ready to take further steps if necessary.

“Stop mentioning their names else I would direct my counsel to serve you appropriate papers,” she warned.

The development highlights the ongoing tension between both actors as the controversy continues to stir reactions online.
