Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, –NSCDC, had on Friday, nabbed a 25-year-old purported cattle rustler, Mamman Amadu in Kirikasamma Local Government, Jigawa State.

ASC Badruddeen Tijjani Mahmud, the Command spokesperson, had been the one to confirm the arrest in a statement issued to DAILY POST newspapers.

In his statement, he had said:
“The suspect was nabbed at about 11:00 at a stop and search security check mounted by the NSCDC to curb illegalities along Hadejia-Gujungu road while carrying the stolen bull in a blue-colored Gulf saloon to Gujungu market where he planned to sell the purloined animal.”

Tijjani then went on to reveal how further investigations showed that the suspect, along with one Malam Buba (now at large), conspired and stole the bull from a yet-to-be identified herder while grazing in an open space in one of the bushes in Iwo village, Kirikasamma LGA on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at about 18:00 which they said was separated from the rest of the herds.

The statement was concluded with Tijjani saying that the suspect would be dragged to court after preliminary investigations would have been concluded.
