Team Nigeria’s wrestler Blessing Oborududu won the second gold medal on the eighth day of the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. Linda Morais was defeated by Oborududu in the 68kg women’s division final.
Her triumph came a few hours after her countryman Odunayo Adekuoroye earned the sixth gold medal for the nation in the competition in the wrestling competition.
Oborududu won gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, making her a two-time winner of the competition.
With this medal haul, Team Nigeria now has seven gold, two silver, and six bronze medals in its collection.
