Nigerian rapper Olamide Adedeji, widely known as Olamide Baddo, has addressed the heated reactions trailing his recent remark describing Wizkid as “the greatest Afrobeats artist after Fela.”
The controversy erupted after Olamide made the statement during a press conference in Toronto, Canada, prompting immediate pushback from supporters of Burna Boy and Davido across social media platforms.
Responding to the uproar on Friday via his X account, Olamide noted that everyone is free to hold their own opinions, adding that success in the music industry is abundant enough for all.

He emphasized that Burna Boy, Davido, and Wizkid are not the type to be bothered by differing viewpoints, which he believes is one of the reasons they have excelled.
In his words:
“Honestly, this whole lengthy 3-way conversation is pretty much whatever. You can’t diminish anyone’s greatness, whether they’re A-list, B-list, or anything else. Feel free to believe what you want or support whoever you choose—there’s plenty of room in the sky for everyone.“However, one thing to remember is that Burna, David, and Wiz aren’t narrow-minded enough to get offended by someone else’s opinion or perspective. That’s part of why they’ve reached where they are today.”
