Nigerian singer Omah Lay was reportedly involved in a car accident that damaged both of his Tesla Cybertrucks, just months after acquiring the high-end vehicles.
The incident, which has not yet been officially addressed by the artist or his management, gained traction online after a video surfaced showing one of the Cybertrucks being towed with significant damage to its front.
Omah Lay had purchased the two electric trucks on November 11, 2024—a milestone originally shared by a car dealer on social media.
Media personality Adesope Shopsydoo gave fans a reassuring update via Instagram on Saturday. “Omah Lay got into an accident last night,” he posted, followed by, “Omah Lay Tesla truck, thank God for life.” He also wrote, “Thank God he is safe, we go buy two more once that album drops, more stories to tell.”
The crash comes on the heels of Omah Lay’s appearance on Davido’s latest album 5ive, where he featured on the track With You. While fans await an official response, many have taken to social media to express gratitude for his safety.
