The Action Alliance–AA, has re-appointed Adekunle Rufai Omoaje to be its national chairman.
The National Publicity Secretary, Olu Omotosho, had in a statement issued in Kaduna on Saturday, October 8, stated that Omoaje’s election was held at the convention of the party held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, in Ogun State.
According to the statement, the election was witnessed by representatives of the Independent National Electoral Commission-INEC, and had also been supervised by security agencies.
According to the statement, other elected members at the convention included: the Deputy National Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Yisah, National Financial Secretary, Prince Awolola Awofala, the National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Olu Omotosho, the National Youth Leader, Alhaji Wasiu Adeyemo, the National Legal Adviser, Barrister Abiodun Rufai and the National Women Leader, Mrs Aisha Abdullahi amongst several others.
Mr Oladele Sunday, the Chairman of the electoral committee had in his closing remarks, said that the party selects option A4 as a means of voting in its leaders to reveal transparency.
Meanwhile, in Omoaje’s acceptance speech, the national chairman of the party, Adekunle Rufai Omoaje, had made assurances of competent leadership and had pledged to take the party to the promised land.
