Nigerian singer Orezi has opened up about the factors contributing to his reduced presence in the music industry.
The “Ogede” hitmaker shared that his decline in the music industry stemmed from a decrease in his ambition.
In a recent appearance on the Hip TV show Trending, the singer stated that stepping away from the competition in the music industry had a negative impact on his career.
Discussing the importance of consistency, Orezi mentioned that Davido continues to work hard like an emerging artist, despite his status as an established star.
He said, “I faded out [of the music industry] because I became less ambitious and comfortable with where I am. I was always on vacation, enjoying myself. I became less ambitious and took myself out of the competition [in the music industry].
“Competition fuels consistency. Look at Davido for example, he hustles like an underground artist. He has money and fame but he still maintains his hustling spirit.”
