Congratulations pour in for Asisat Oshoala after she was nominated for the 2022 Balon D’or awards. This is a big achievement not just for her and Nigerians but for the whole of Africa as she is the only African to be nominated for this jaw-dropping award.
The Barcelona player has been fantastic, as she was the top goal scorer for Barcelona last season, with 20 goals to her name in 19 appearances. Oshoala reacted to her nomination, by posting the Nigerian flag on her Twitter handle.
“NAIJA 🇳🇬⚽️…..,” she tweeted.
It seems Oshoala is set out to break world records, as she recently just won the CAF women’s player of the year award for the fifth time. We are proud of our girl.
