Severe rainfall has flooded over 250 houses in Natsinta community, Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State.
From reports gathered, no life was lost in the tragedy but several people had sustained various degrees of injuries, with some of them currently receiving medical attention in hospitals.
It was also gathered that over 1000 persons, women and children included, were affected by the disaster and the lawmaker representing the Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Mustafa Yusuf, had lamented that the level of destruction was great.
The State lawmaker has meanwhile assured the victims that the State House of Assembly would deliberate on the matter, with the aim to enabling the State government to come to their aid.
He had also appealed to stakeholders, non-governmental organisations, politicians, and members of the business community, to aid and help out the victims in their capacity.
