Pa Nwankwo Soludo, the father of Anambra State’s Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has passed away. The nonagenarian, aged 92, succumbed to a prolonged illness in the early hours of Monday.
Pa Soludo was a prominent figure within the Soludo family, hailing from Umueze in the Isuofia community of Anambra. This sad news was confirmed by the governor’s Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, in an official statement on Monday.
The late Pa Soludo leaves behind a legacy of family, survived by seven sons, eight daughters-in-law, twenty-two grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Governor Soludo expressed that his father lived a rich and fulfilling life, achieving the remarkable age of ninety-two years.
The official statement also hinted at the possibility of more information being shared with the public in the near future. Ninety-two is indeed a ripe old age, surpassing the biblical “three score and ten,” and our thoughts are with the Soludo family as they mourn the loss of their patriarch. May he rest in peace.
