Ex-Manchester United Midfielder, Paul pogba might not feature in this year’s world cup which is to start on November 20 in Qatar, as he is to undergo surgery on his knee.If we recall, Pogba sustained an injury whilst training, he suffered a year of the lateral meniscus, which saw him limp off the field. Two solutions were proffered by his specialist, the first is that they’ll have to suture the lesion and that might see him miss the world cup games, as he would have to take some time off the pitch. The second is that a piece of meniscus might be removed, which might affect his mobility as a player. Pogba really wants to feature in the world cup considering that he was part of the team that won the world cup games in 2018. Pogba sustained this injury two weeks after he transferred to Juventus.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Juventus management has decided that he undergoes the surgery, to be on the safer side. This spells bad news for Pogba, as it might see him miss the world cup games.
“Bad news for Paul Pogba. He will undergo surgery on the meniscus in his right knee – Juventus staff have decided together with Paul today,” Romano said.
