Not less than seven people from Kwanar Dangora town in Kiru Local Government Area of Kano State have been confirmed dead in an auto crash that occurred along Kano-Zaria Road.
The accident victims had allegedly been returning from the rally organized by the All Progressives Congress, APC, and its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu in Kano.
Witness reports have reported that the accident happened around 6 pm when the deceased’s VW Golf car collided with an oil tanker, consequently leading to seven out of 10 people aboard perishing.
Tukur Lawan, the town’s resident had said five people died on the spot while two others died at the Murtala Muhammed Hospital, Kano.
Lawan also listed the names of the accident casualties. They were: Bala Kariya, Barau Kariya, Hamza Huntu, Danladi Gidan Algaita, Musbahu Gidan Diraman, Yakubu Gidan Diraman, and Lawan Gidan Diraman.
