Peter Obi Identifies Nigeria’s Deficits

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, has pledged to return Nigeria to its citizens if he wins office in 2023. The Labour Party’s presidential candidate assured Nigerians that his administration would return power to the civilians when he spoke on Thursday at the Labour Party and Coalition for Peter Obi Leadership meeting in Abuja. He made the point that Nigeria currently lacks leadership but that, if elected, his administration would fill that gap.

To provide Nigerians with strong leadership, the former governor of Anambra state stated that he is interested in becoming the nation’s next president. He said that his task is to wrest control away from those who already hold it and return it to you.  Obi added that Nigeria is a country, however, no Nigerians are living in our country. “What we want to do is to create Nigerians. “He stated that making people believe in Nigeria is the only way to generate Nigerians, and the only way they would have trust in Nigeria is if they see optimism in Nigerians.

“The only thing that is lacking in this country is leadership. And that is what we intend to provide. We are not trying to do something else. Leadership is what Datti and I want to provide. We are not looking for anything.”
