The 2023 Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has called on the Federal Government to immediately come to the aid of the Borno flood victims in a bid to alleviate their sufferings.
In a post made via his X handle, Obi conveyed his sadness over the loss of lives, properties and disruption of activities in Maiduguri due to the flood.
The former Anambra State Governor also highlighted the need to come together to rebuild and restore the communities that have been destroyed.

“I am deeply saddened by the multiple loss of lives and disruption of activities in Maiduguri, Borno state capital which has just been hit by a devastating flood disaster.
“It is heartbreaking to think about the families who have been bereaved or torn apart, the homes that have been destroyed, and the livelihoods that have been ruined.
“In times like these together as a nation, we must support each other. I urge the federal and state governments to do everything within their powers to provide aid and relief to those affected by this natural disaster.” he said.
