At least eleven mourners were killed in a gruesome accident involving a pick-up and a bus.
According to Police reports, the pick-up truck taking them home from a funeral the deceased passengers attended was involved in a collision with a bus in the northern Philippines area, on Thursday.
Five others have been reported injured in the crash that occurred in Abulug town in Cagayan province, the police chief, Antonio Palattao revealed.
The bus driver and conductor were also injured, but the 23 passengers were unharmed.
The Philippines is infamous for its negligent regulation on public transportation and badly maintained roads. In December 2023, 17 people were killed when a bus pitched into a ravine in the central province of Antique.
