Stefano Pioli, AC Milan’s coach has expressed his sadness over his team’s loss to Sassuolo. AC Milan was thrashed 5-2 hands down by Sassuolo at San Siro on Sunday.
Goals from Gregorie Defrei and Davide Fratessi in the 19th and 22nd minutes, put Sassuolo 2 goals above Milan, Oliver Giroud scored one for Milan however Domenico Beradi increased Sassuolo’s lead.
Lauriente and Henrique scored in the 47th and 49th minute for Sassuolo, and Divock Origi scored the second goal for AC Milan.
Speaking on their failure, Pioli has said that he’s disappointed with his team’s performance, and this has led him to understand that there are loopholes ok the team that needs to be fixed, nevertheless their goal is to qualify for the Champions League.
“Disappointment, and with disappointment, we don’t go that far,” Pioli said.
“The latest performances see us in difficulty, this must push me to understand that certain situations need to be improved and faced differently. Our goal will be to reach the Champions League, this will be our goal.”
