Why there are laws protecting children against abuse because children are vulnerable no person should be made to go through domestic violence or any sort of abuse, that is why we have law enforcement agents who are responsible for making sure that individuals are protected from abuse.

In Adamawa State, a couple, Kamal Idris and Ambasiya Idris were arrested by the Adamawa State Police Command, for assaulting their 11 years old nephew who was placed under their guardianship after the death of his father.

This information was revealed by the State’s Police Spokesperson, Sulieman Nguroje in a Statement uploaded on the Command’s Twitter page on Saturday.

According to the statement, They received a report on the alleged torture of a child by the couple, immediately they dispatched some men to the area, and on getting there the couple arrested, while the boy was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

The statement also revealed that the State’s Commissioner of Police Afolabi Babatola, is aware of the situation and he has vowed that the couple must be punished according to the law to serve as a warning to anyone maltreating or planning to maltreat a child.

“The Command upon receiving the report swung into action and luckily rescued the innocent/tortured Child and rushed him to Hospital, now on admission receiving treatment.

“The Commissioner of Police, Afolabi Babatola, frowned at the inhuman treatment meted on the little boy by the guardians who happened to be uncle/aunty to the victim and vowed to prosecute them to serve as deterrence to others from doing likewise.”
