THE Zamfara Police Command has dismantled a bandit camp and rescued 14 abducted victims in Zamfara State.
The victims had been held captive for 68 days before being freed by authorities.
This was contained in a statement published yesterday in Gusau by the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Muhammad Shehu.
He said that on 10th March 2023, Police tactical operatives in collaboration with the vigilante group, while on a Mop Up Operation near Munhaye Forest, effectively dislodged some bandits’ camps belonging to one refractory bandit boss, popularly known as Dogo Sule.
As a result of the operation, 14 hostages were rescued, including two male adults, seven females, and five children under the age of two.
