Drake Bell, the star of Nickelodeon’s famous show Drake & Josh, has been characterized as “missing and endangered” by US authorities.
On April 4, his last known location was “potentially” near a high school in Florida, according to the Daytona Beach Police Department on Facebook.
Between 2004 and 2007, Bell, 36, starred in 56 episodes of Drake & Josh.
He and his Nickelodeon co-star Josh Peck played two teenagers with opposing personalities who became stepbrothers in the show. They also appeared in two Drake & Josh movies.
According to police, the actor should be traveling in a 2022 grey BMW and was last seen Tuesday at 21:00 local time (01:00 BST).
Bell, who began her career as a child actor and later performed in The Amanda Show, went on to win nine Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice awards. He has also published two albums and has done voice work for children’s animations.
However, in recent years, he has been under criticism as a result of high-profile criminal charges.
He pleaded guilty to charges of attempted child endangerment and transmitting harmful material to children in June 2021.
The following month, he was sentenced in California to two years probation and 200 hours of community service for charges about a girl who contacted him online and accused him of sexual contact after attending his concert when she was 15 years old.
After four years of marriage, Bell and his wife Janet Von Schmeling were rumored to have split and were “heading for divorce” in January. Jeremy Drake Bell, the couple’s son, was born in June 2021.
