Pope Francis who is the leader of the World’s 1.3 billion Catholics, was hospitalized on Wednesday as he suffered from Bronchitis, making this his second hospitalization since 2021 after Colon Surgery was performed on him. He was discharged on Saturday, where he jokingly told journalists and well-wishers that he was still alive.
The 86 years old presided over mass in St Peter’s square on Sunday, starting the events for the Easter week. It’s the most important week in the Christian calendar, and due to the Pope’s health status, many thought that he won’t be able to carry out his duties, however, Poor Francis has proved to be strong.
Palm Sunday, marks the arrival of Jesus to Jerusalem some days before his crucifixion, this year’s Easter day, falls on April 9th.
