U.S. President Joe Biden has just signed into law the first significant federal gun reform in thirty years. This is coming days after he criticized the U.S Supreme Court’s decision to increase gun owners’ rights.
President Biden has reported that he knows that the bill he just signed would be saving a lot of lives. The nonpartisan bill came to play several weeks, after the deadly mass shootings that occurred in Uvalde and Buffalo that saw over 30 people killed, including several children at an elementary school in the country.
The constitution will include means to aid states to keep firearms out from dangerous individuals likely to use the tool on themselves or others. The amendment was announced on the same week the Supreme Court increased firearm owners’ rights, disclosing on Thursday, 23rd June for the first time, that the U.S. law enforced a citizen’s ability to walk around with a handgun while in public for self-defense.
President Biden has already told news reporters that the Supreme court had been making bad decisions lately after they eliminated the right to abortion nationwide, on Friday. The issue of controlling guns in the nation has been a pressing issue for several years, with many tries to legislate guns to greatly protect lives proving abortive.
