President Bola Tinubu has arrived in the Republic of China for a state visit. His presidential aircraft touched down at Beijing’s Capital International Airport on Sunday at 19:12 local time.
Departure and Layover
The president departed Abuja on Thursday for the official visit. During his journey, he had a brief layover in the United Arab Emirates, according to a statement by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale.
Agenda in China
While in China, President Tinubu is scheduled to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping. He will also engage with Chinese business leaders and attend the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).
“In China, the president will meet with President Xi Jinping and hold meetings with Chinese business leaders on the sidelines of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation,” Ngelale stated.
Accompanying Delegation
The president will be accompanied by senior government officials during the trip, as confirmed by Ngelale.
