The Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has agreed to the confirmation of the appointment of Adewale Adeniyi as the latest substantive Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service.
The Director, Information at Secretary, to the Government of the Federation, Willie Bassey, had disclosed this in a statement on Friday, October 20.
According to the released statement, the appointment would take effect as from Thursday, 19th October 2023, and Adeniyi’s tenure is coming on the heels of the extant provisions of the Public Service Rules-PSR.
Tinubu has meanwhile, charged the CG to use his wealth of experience to bear on his new duty.
This confirmation is coming after Tinubu had back in June appointed Adeniyi as Comptroller-General of Nigeria Customs Service-NCS to succeed the former CG, Hammed Ali.
