The Prince of Wales partied with Aston Villa fans as the claret and blues won their first European trophy in 44 years against the Besiktas Park opposition.
Prince William went through all emotions with Villa supporters during Thursday night’s Europa League final as a comfortable 3-0 victory saw Unai Emery’s side lift silverware after goals from Youri Tielemans, Emiliano Buendia and Morgan Rogers.
After winning the cup, the Prince of Wales sent his congratulations in a message posted on social media, he said:
“Amazing night!! Huge congratulations to all the players, team, staff and everyone connected to the club. 44 years since the last taste of European silverware.”

He also commended midfielder Boubacar Kamara, who was part of the team although he suffered a bad injury in a recent match, for his contribution.
An estimated 20,000 Villans descended on Turkey for the final, with fans turning the capital in to ‘Astonbul’ as the celebrations begun.
Meanwhile, Hollywood actor and Villian, Tom Hanks wished the team well for the final. He wrote a simple, “Go Villa.”
Prince William, a devoted fan, joined the players as they celebrated.
The Aston Villa captain John McGinn stated after the game that the Prince was a ‘normal guy’ who supported them very well.
