Super Falcons striker, Rasheedat Ajibade emerged as the top joint Goal Scorer for Athletico after she netted four goals in Athletico Madrid’s 5-0 win against Huelva in a premiera Division, de la Liga de futbol Femenino fixture on Saturday night.

Ajibade rained down goals in the match, as she put Athletico in the lead in the 28th minute after she scored the first goal. She then scored the second goal in the 51st minute, and Ludmila scored the third goal for Athletico in the 70th minute from the penalty spot. Ajibade then netted the ball into the goal again, making it an Hatrick. To top it all, she sealed their win by scoring another goal making it 5-0 for Athletico.

Ajibade is now a joint top scorer in the Spanish league alongside her Brazilian teammate Ludmila.

Athletico Madrid currently ranks third in the table with nine points after four games.

If we can recall, Ajibade was also the joint top scorer of the 2022 African Women’s Cup Of Nations, in which Nigeria finished fourth, after winning the title nine times. With this performance, Ajibade might be nominated for CAF’s Africa’s Women’s player of the year
