Real Madrid showcased their dominance with a commanding 5-0 triumph over in-form Deportivo Alavés at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, extending their unbeaten streak in LaLiga to 30 matches. Captain Nacho led the Real Madrid contingent onto the pitch, proudly carrying the La Liga trophy through a guard of honor, setting the stage for a memorable encounter.

Despite Alavés’ early intent, as evidenced by Samu Omorodion’s early chance that tested Thibaut Courtois, Real Madrid swiftly asserted their superiority. In the 10th minute, the Galacticos showcased their class with a sublime opener, as Toni Kroos delivered a pinpoint cross to Jude Bellingham, who executed a delightful side-foot volley to break the deadlock.

Real Madrid doubled their advantage 15 minutes later, with Bellingham turning provider as he fed a precise through ball to Edouardo Camavinga, who unselfishly squared the ball for Vinícius Júnior to slot home from close range. Despite Alavés’ valiant efforts, including Ianis Hagi’s long-range strike that tested Courtois, Los Blancos seized control just before halftime, with Federico Valverde rifling a strike past Jesús Owono to effectively seal the contest.

Alavés persisted in their pursuit of a positive result, displaying glimpses of their recent resurgence with testing efforts from Hagi and Omorodion in the second half. However, Real Madrid remained relentless in their pursuit of goals, as Vinícius Júnior notched his second of the game with a clinical finish following another incisive pass from Bellingham.

With victory seemingly assured, Carlo Ancelotti’s men continued to press forward, exemplifying their unwavering commitment to excellence. In the closing stages, a surging run from Rodrygo culminated in Arda Güler calmly slotting home Real Madrid’s fifth goal, putting the finishing touches on a comprehensive performance.

Real Madrid’s triumph not only reinforces their status as LaLiga champions but also underscores their resilience and dominance on home turf, where they have remained unbeaten for over a year. Conversely, Alavés’ aspirations of securing a top-half finish were dealt a blow as they suffered their fourth away defeat in five matches.

As Real Madrid’s quest for European glory beckons with another UEFA Champions League final looming, their emphatic victory over Alavés serves as a poignant reminder of their formidable prowess and unwavering ambition. With their unbeaten streak intact and momentum on their side, Ancelotti’s men are poised to etch their names in footballing folklore once more.
