The Spanish football club, Real Madrid, has won the champions league for the 2021/2022 season. Real Madrid won with a lone goal scored by Vinicus in the 59th minute of the game. The match ended 1 – 0 with Real Madrid gaining the title.
It was a very tense match for both sides as both teams had almost equal ball possession. Liverpool had the highest though with 53.9% ball possession while Real Madrid had 46.1% ball possession.
Liverpool was repeatedly denied a lot of chances by good saves from Real Madrid’s goalkeeper, Courtois. Mo Salah has six goals on target but none converted to goals.
This win has made Real Madrid add to the number of Champions League wins as they now have a record of fourteen (14) European champions league Cups.
Carlos Ancelloti, Real Madrid Coach, has also set a record for himself as he is the first coach to get to the champions league final and win the tournament four times.
