Aminu Tambuwal, Sokoto state governor and presidential aspirant under the people’s democratic party has stepped down from the presidential primary elections of his party.
He withdrew from the race shortly before the start of the primaries in Abuja. He had said that he was making a sacrifice for the good of the nation and he has also begged his followers and supporters to vote for Atiku Abubakar, former vice president, and presidential aspirant.
Atiku on the other hand has taken to his Twitter account to thank Tambuwal for stepping down for him. He also thanked him for his campaign and added that he would be looking forward to working with him.
