Yuki Gambaryan’s wife, wife of the detained American citizen Tigran Gambaryan, pleads with the Nigerian government to release her husband immediately due to his deteriorating health conditions.
She revealed her husband was suffering from a herniated disk, recurring throat infections as well as pneumonia and malaria that he contracted while in prison. The authorities at the Kuje Prison have refused to release his medical records even though he needs them urgently.
Tigran Gambaryan, who works for Binance, was invited to Nigeria for a meeting before being detained in Nigeria and has not been allowed to leave the country since 26th February when they seized his American passport from him. The lawyers representing him have not been able to see him since July 26th this year contrary to Nigerian laws and regulations.
In crying out for help from the Nigerian government Yuki Gambaryan shows how much their family suffered, especially with two small children whom they already have. She calls on her husband’s release so that he can get emergency medical attention saying:
“I am pleading with the Nigerian government because my husband is dying; release him first before time runs out,” she said.
There is urgent need for urgent intervention by Nigerian authorities regarding Tigran Gambaryan’s health issues so that he gets the necessary treatment and goes back home where his family waits upon him.
