Residents of Burra village in Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State have just been cut off from the rest of the state after the collapse of the road leading to the village. Reports had it that the Ningi-Burra Road had collapsed after a heavy rainfall between Thursday evening and the early hours of Friday, September 9, 2022.
An affected resident who had spoken to News men had reported that passengers either going in or coming out of the village were currently stranded as no man nor vehicle could cross over to the other side.
Additionally, appeals had been made to the state government to immediately come to the rescue of the residents by rebuilding the bad portion of the road that had collapsed before the reconstruction of the whole road structure from Ningi.
“We are at present locked out of Bauchi State. It has never been this dark. May Allah see us through this trying moment.” The anonymous resident had finished.
