Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have welcomed their third child, a daughter.
The “Umbrella” singer shared the happy news on Instagram on Wednesday, September 24, introducing Rocki Irish Mayers. Her post included a picture of herself holding the newborn and a second image of tiny baby shoes. The caption read simply: the baby’s name, the date “Sep 13,” and a ribbon emoji.
The couple first revealed Rihanna’s pregnancy at the Met Gala in May, where she stunned in a pinstripe outfit and an oversized hat that showcased her baby bump. Speaking to reporters, Rocky, who co-chaired the gala, said, “It’s time that we show the people what we was cooking up. And I’m glad everybody’s happy for us ’cause we definitely happy, you know.”
Rihanna and Rocky have previously made headlines with star-studded pregnancy announcements. She famously debuted her bump during the 2023 Super Bowl, and later that year, they welcomed their son Riot Rose. Their first child, RZA, was born in May 2022, and the couple publicly confirmed their relationship in 2020.
The birth of Rocki Irish comes just months after A$AP Rocky was acquitted on firearms charges in Los Angeles in February. He joyfully leapt into Rihanna’s arms when the verdict was announced, with Rihanna attending court sessions alongside their two sons.
Rihanna, a nine-time Grammy winner, has achieved 14 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hits, including We Found Love, Work, Umbrella, and Disturbia. She also launched her cosmetics brand, Fenty Beauty, in 2017.
A$AP Rocky began his career with the hip-hop collective A$AP Mob in 2011 and released his debut album, Live, Love, A$AP, in 2013, which debuted at number one. He has received two Grammy nominations and recently appeared alongside Denzel Washington in Spike Lee’s Highest 2 Lowest.
