Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has thrown her weight behind online critic Vincent Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, amid growing controversy surrounding him on social media.
Recently, VDM had stirred a controversial argument on social media when he leaked a private telephone call of crossdresser Bobrisky, who was narrating his prison experience. Other leaked calls were between rapper Falz and his father, Femi Falana. The leaked call has resulted in a lawsuit filed by the Falana family against VDM for defamation.
Amidst the drama, Rita Edochie took to Instagram and expressed solidarity with VDM, hailing him for making sure to research and state facts in every video released. She noted how VDM has helped many Nigerians retrieve their money, especially from business deals that went sour, doing what even the government couldn’t do.
She took it further by referring to VDM as her “great son” and “the voice of the voiceless.” She offered prayers for him and congratulated him on standing for the less privileged. Her endorsement has given a whole new twist to the unfolding social media storm involving VDM.
