Contrary to what many media outlets reported, that popular gospel artist, Sammie Okposo died on Friday, slumped in his Lekki residence, and was pronounced dead in the hospital, His project manager has come out to debunk such reports.

According to him, Sammie Okposo did not wake up from his sleep, and the reports going about that he slumped are false. And speaking on his burial arrangements, the details will soon be disclosed to the public

“However, in an exclusive interview with Sunday Scoop, Vincent said, “It is not true that Sammie slumped and died. That report is false. At the right time, the family will set the records straight. But, I can tell you authoritatively that he did not slump. Rather, he just did not wake up from his sleep.

“As regards the funeral arrangements, the details will be made known by the family. But right now, they are still in grief and mourning the departed singer.

His death is still a shock to Nigerians, several Nigerian celebrities have taken to their social media handles to mourn the passing away of the gospel music icon. There’s a saying that “death takes the very best people”. Sammie Okposo’s death happened weeks after Nigerians finished mourning Bb Naija star, Rico Swarvey.
